Evans Not To Fight Ortiz At UFC 78 Reported By

Rashad Evans has been tapped to fight Michael Bisping in a battle of The Ultimate Fighter winners at UFC 78.
Evans and Bisping, both unbeaten in their mixed martial arts careers, will compete in one of the main-events at the November 17 even in New Jersey. UFC had not announced any other marquee fight at press time.
Evans was the Heavyweight winner on TUF2, while Bisping won the TUF3 Light Heavyweight competition. Both now fight at Light Heavyweight.
Sources say UFC had been trying to book a rematch between Rashad Evans and Tito Ortiz for the show; the two fought to a draw at UFC 73. Ultimately, however, it appears negotiations did not reach a conclusive point and UFC went in a different direction.
