Sean Sherk's hearing before the California State Athletic Commission has been delayed for another two weeks, reports The Fight Network.
Originally scheduled for today, the hearing, which will determine if he will be forced to fulfill a punishment period due to a positive steroid test, was postponed until November 13 on the grounds that the voting members of the CSAC did not all receive a brief from Howard Jacobs, Sean Sherk's attorney. Sherdog.com reported that the document in question contained results from a polygraph test Sherk reportedly passed.
Jacobs said that he received a confirmation of receipt by several members of the Commission after he sent the twenty exhibit brief on Friday.
Prior to the CSAC's announcement of plans to postpone the hearing, Sherk, who tested positive for nandrolone following his title fight at UFC 73, joined two other defendants for a seminar presentation on steroid use.
“I’m a little more weary [of the process] than I was earlier today,” Sherk said to the Fight Network. “I didn't know what to expect. I didn't realize they were going to bring in all these people and come after me like that. They haven't done that in the past, so I assumed they were going to treat me like they treated other people. What's with the two-and-a-half-hour seminar before the hearing?”
